Preparing for Your Training

Should your program involve a flight in the SIAI-S211 Marchetti Jet, here is what you need to bring:
  • Your personal flight suit, if you have one. Otherwise, we are happy to provide one for you.
  • Copies of your important documents: Airman's Certificate, Medical Certificate, Photo ID, and Proof of Citizenship (Passport or Birth Certificate).
  • APS Preparatory Training Guidance.

To effectively perform in-flight recovery, it's essential to familiarize yourself with the following key phrases:
  • "Push"
  • "Roll"
  • "Power"
  • "Stabilize"
Assess aircraft performance
  • "Pitch and power set. Airspeed stable. Positive rate (or) Level (0r) Stable Descent."
  • "Recovery complete."

We strongly suggest practicing these phrases aloud 50 times as this will greatly aid in learning the APS All-Attitude Upset Recovery Strategy.

Very Important

While having the words memorized is a critical first step, this words require comprehensive practical training facilitate by APS UPRT experts. The 'words' are NOT the APS All-Attitude Upset Recovery Strategy WITHOUT having dedicated multi-day facilitate training by our team. Lots of schools copy APS and our words. What they are missing are the portion size, context, application, relevance, exceptions, negative-training elimination, transferability, and integrated applications across events and conditions.

Arrival Day & Check-in Times

Your specific check-in times will be communicated by the APS training coordination team. Expect to dedicate approximately 8 hours per day to your training, except for the final day, which could be a little shorter. As unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions may affect the training end time, we suggest allowing a buffer when scheduling your return flight.

Attire & Provisions

Dress casually and according to the weather. Remember to always wear closed-toe shoes and carry your sunglasses. It's advisable to hydrate well, eat light, and rest adequately before your arrival. Don't forget to bring along snacks for between-flight munching.
