Overview
The APS UPRT (Upset Prevention & Recovery Training) Scholarship is an annual program aimed at supporting deserving pilots at the onset of their aviation careers. The scholarship provides a Professional Pilot Upset Training program, which is a comprehensive training course designed to equip pilots with the skills to prevent and recover from unexpected airplane upsets.
What is UPRT?
UPRT is a specialized pilot training program developed to mitigate the risk of Loss of Control In-flight (LOC-I), the biggest threat to air safety. It trains pilots to develop the necessary skills to recognize, prevent, or recover from unexpected airplane upsets. The training also helps pilots improve their general manual handling skills and mental strength. Pilots with UPRT training demonstrate their commitment to safety and excellence in flying.
